Liquid Image Blue and Green Water Lens Filter

Colors underwater are not as vibrant as above water because of the filtering effect of natural light wavelengths by water. Warm colors such as red, orange, and yellow are diminished within a few meters under water and change dramatically as you go deeper. Filters help the digital camera color correct for this effect and bring out true colors.

These underwater lens filters are designed to bring out the colors underwater from slightly below the surface to a maximum of 25ft/6m. Once you get to below 25ft/6m, you will need to take off the filter and turn on your side lights to capture any color. The filters are also wet mountable which means you can take the filter off and put it on under water. The filter can be snapped onto the large cap for storage during the dive or be snapped onto the front of the camera lens while underwater.

Use the Green Water Filter with natural sunlight in shallow green tropical fresh and salt water and use the Blue Water Filter with natural sunlight in shallow blue-green tropical fresh and salt water. Note: The Blue Water Filter is ideal for Video and is not recommended for the still image mode.
