Distinctive 110° Wide Angle Lens To Record All You See

A wide angle lens is needed for action videography to encompass a wider visible area. Why is this important? A wider field of view makes the captured video much more immersive and puts the viewer "in the action".

Most other digital video cameras only give you a 60 to 75 degree angle of view on the widest setting. The VIO POV.T cam has a super wide 110 degree angle capture area so nothing gets cut off the edges.

Ultra Stable Modular Star Mounting System

VIO's innovative "star mounting" system is totally unique in the POV cam industry. The special shape is flexible enough to fit onto any surface. Use the Green Water Filter with natural sunlight in shallow green fresh and salt water. This filter is generally used in water that contains algae. The filter is designed to bring out the colors underwater from slightly below the surface to approximately 24ft / 8m. The maximum depth will depend on the amount of natural light and water clarity. The Green Water Filter is ideal for Video and Still images. The filter is a wet mount which means you can take the filter off and put it on under water. Once you get to below 24ft / 8m, you may need to take off the filter and turn on your lights to capture the colors. The filter can be snapped onto the large cap for storage during the dive or be snapped onto the front of the camera lens while underwater.

The filter is essential for vivid colors for depths of just below the surface down to 24ft / 8m. The filter should be removed for deeper dives and for dives utilizing external light sources. The new HCR-100X is the latest in digital helmet cam technology. The HCR-100X is a complete, rugged and compact, high resolution camera and recorder system. The 1/3" CCD image sensor provides 500 TV lines of crisp color and a sharp picture in all lighting situations. 

The HCR-100X recorder is a high quality high resolution (640x480) recorder but resolution is only one of the factors that determine how your video will look. The frame rate and the compression type are just as important. A typical helmet cam video is a fast-motion video in which each frame is very different from the one before it and the one after it. When the video is compressed, you get compression artifacts or "pixellation". Our Advanced recording algorithm was designed specifically for fast-motion videos and results in a better picture with fewer compression artifacts. Unlike some inferior recorders, the  HCR-100X records at a high bitrate of 5-6Mbs @ 30 FPS in High resolution mode.

With the HCR-100X there's no need for bulky recorders, battery packs and no mess of tangled wires. The compact recording unit connects to the camera head via a single water-tight, detachable cable. The HCR-100X was designed from the ground up to be used in the harshest military, extreme sports, and motorsports environments.

Liquid Image Blue Water Lens Filter

Use the Blue Water Filter with natural sunlight in shallow blue-green tropical fresh and salt water. The filter is designed to bring out the colors underwater from slightly below the surface to approximately 24ft / 8m. The maximum depth will depend on the amount of natural light and water clarity. The Blue Water Filter is ideal for Video and Still images. The filter is a wet mount which means you can take the filter off and put it on under water. Once you get to below 24ft / 8m, you may need to take off the filter and turn on your lights to capture the colors. The filter can be snapped onto the large cap for storage during the dive or be snapped onto the front of the camera lens while underwater.

Colors underwater are not as vibrant as above water because of the filtering effect of natural light wavelengths by water. Warm colors such as red, orange, and yellow are diminished within a few meters under water and change dramatically as you go deeper. The Filters help the digital camera color correct for this effect and bring out the colors. There are computer programs that color correct images and video as an attempt to bring back the colors lost when not utilizing a filter. However, videos are difficult to manipulate after the video has been shot and a filter is highly recommended for video use.

The filter is essential for vivid colors for depths of just below the surface down to 24ft (8m). The filter should be removed for deeper dives and for dives utilizing external light sources. The filter is a wet mount and can be put on and taken off underwater. The Filter snaps onto the front lens for use and onto the large cap for storage.

The HCR-100X recorder is a high quality high resolution (640x480) recorder but resolution is only one of the factors that determine how your video will look. The frame rate and the compression type are just as important. A typical helmet cam video is a fast-motion video in which each frame is very different from the one before it and the one after it. When the video is compressed, you get compression artifacts or "pixellation". Our Advanced recording algorithm was designed specifically for fast-motion videos and results in a better picture with fewer compression artifacts. Unlike some inferior recorders, the  HCR-100X records at a high bitrate of 5-6Mbs @ 30 FPS in High resolution mode.

With the HCR-100X there's no need for bulky recorders, battery packs and no mess of tangled wires. The compact recording unit connects to the camera head via a single water-tight, detachable cable.
